Tracy A. Mitchell is an Attorney with the law firm of Becker & Poliakoff. Tracy practices primarily in the litigation and community association practice groups. She counsels community associations in areas including covenant enforcement, contract and real estate litigation, collections, and foreclosure. Tracy is Supervising Attorney of the Fort Lauderdale office’s high volume community association assessment collection/foreclosure department.  She authored an article entitled “Impact of Foreclosures on Associations” for the newsletter Community Update and has been a panelist/speaker in forums regarding the Florida Housing Crisis. Prior to joining Becker & Poliakoff, P.A., Tracy practiced primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation.

Tracy practiced law in Illinois before moving to South Florida in 2004. She is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the State Bar of Illinois, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Tracy was elected as 2008-2009 President Elect of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association and as 2008-2009 Vice President of Policy and Procedure for the Urban League of Broward County’s Young Professionals Network. She recently received Success South Florida magazine's 40 under 40 Achievers of Today & Tomorrow Award. She received the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County's Pro Bono Award for Elder Law in 2007. Tracy is also a member of the Diversity and Gender Sensitivity Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Boca program run by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. She is an active member of the Pompano Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
