Greetings!  It is with great honor and privilege that I serve as your 2008 – 2009 President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association.  The F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association has a rich history, and proven commitment to the professional development of all minority attorneys in Palm Beach County, and of the local residents of the minority communities throughout the different cities in Palm Beach County.

My theme for my term as President is: Follow one. Lead one. Lift one.  I promise to follow down the path that our organization has been committed to since the 1970’s.  I promise to lead our Executive Board, and our members on the continued path of supporting each other within our profession, and to address the social ills that impede our community.  And I promise that the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association will continue to lift one another, and the people of our community.

The Executive Board, through our commitment to this organization, are committed to improving the lives of the adults of this community through the local ACLU, and other organizations, in volunteering time with the Restoration of Rights Workshops, which focuses on restoring certain important rights to the members of our community, such as voting rights.  We will continue to have a positive impact on the lives of the children of this community through the Lawyers in Schools Project, and our Education Advocacy Committee.  Additionally, we will have a college and university recruitment and resource fair targeted to minority 8th grade, and high school students in Palm Beach County.  Our focus is to encourage minority students to pursue higher education.

I invite you to take an active role in the success of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association by attending our meetings and events.  The F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association meets on the third (3rd) Friday of every month at the Law Library located on the first floor of the Palm Beach County Courthouse.  The Palm Beach County Courthouse is located at 205 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33401.
