HistoryIn the late 1970's a group of Black West Palm Beach Attorneys began meeting informally on a monthly basis at a local restaurant. Among them were the Honorable Edward Rodgers, the Honorable Catherine Brunson, William Holland, the first Black attorney in West Palm Beach, F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. and T.J. Cunningham, Sr., to name a few. They met to discuss issues of the day, their professions and their lives in general. As time went on, plans to formalize the group were discussed. When F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. passed away, the informal group took his name and became the organization we know today. The organization's intention from the beginning was to support Black attorneys and redress the social ills that impeded Blacks' social, economic and political progress.
